For me, art is about learning and about living with people. It's alive. When I was young, I lived like an old woman, and when I got old, I had to live like a young person. I can't get sucked into that celebrity thing, because I think it's just crass. Even Michelangelo got paid for doing the Sistine Chapel. To those artists who say they're doing it for the love of art, I say: Get real. I like things simple. Fashion fades, only style remains the same. You just end up out of fashion that way. I have my favourite fashion decade, yes, yes, yes: '60s. It was a sort of little revolution; the clothes were amazing but not too exaggerated. My breakfast is very important. There is always an emotional element to anything that you make.
